New Zealand-ASEAN Scholars Awards

New Zealand-ASEAN scholarship Scholars Awards (NZ-AS) is open to ASEAN countries including Indonesia, to continue with postgraduate studies master's and doctoral programs in New Zealand in 2013 revenue.
Level: S2 and S3 Program (Master and PhD)
Study in: New Zealand
Field of Study: Agriculture, Renewable Energy / Renewable Energy (geothermal), Disaster Risk Management (disaster risk management)
Quota: 170 to ASEAN, to applicants from Indonesia up to 50 people.
Limit the registration: 11 April 2012
Lectures: School Year 2013

This scholarship is a contribution from the New Zealand government through the ministries of foreign and trade (MFAT) to assist development in the ASEAN region in the form of scholarships. This scholarship will be awarded to 170 applicants from ASEAN countries in which 50 of them specifically for applicants from Indonesia every year.

Countries that could join the scholarship program are: Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam

New Zealand-ASEAN scholarship is a full-time scholarships (full-time study) in one of the educational institutions of the selected institutions. The following are the universities are eligible to take the study with this scholarship program:

Auckland University of Technology
Lincoln University
Manukau Institute of Technology
Massey University
Unitec
University of Auckland
University of Canterbury
University of Otago
Victoria University of Wellington
University of Waikato

Requirements:

Individual applicants must meet the following requirements to receive a scholarship NZ-US

Derived from the government or the private sector can take this scholarship
Take courses that are expected to support sustainable economic development, especially in the field of study agriculture, renewable energy (geothermal) and disaster risk management
The best candidate of all the scholarship applicants will be considered, especially with good leadership skills and potential for future leadership
Under the age of 40 years for the application program S2 (master) and under 45 years for the application program s3 (doctoral)
Preferred if these scholarship recipients have work experience in fields relevant to the course to be taken and may show the relationship between field of study before.

Applicants must also meet the following general criteria:

Indonesian Citizen (WNI) or one of the citizens of ASEAN countries mentioned above.
Not have citizenship or permanent residence status in New Zealand or Australia.
Not married or engaged to be married to someone who berkewarganeraan New Zealand and Australia or to the locals.
At the time the application is not currently receiving scholarships from the government of New Zealand and Australia in the last 2 years.
Do not seek help or support for programs that have already started.
Not choose a program with the same level, meaning if you already have a bachelor's degree can only take a master's or doctoral program, if it is berijasah s2 can only take the doctoral program.
Willing to take a scholarship in the calendar of scholarship has been set.
Qualified graduate with good academic skills and take relevant graduate program.
The minimum IELTS (academic) 5.5 where the test results are valid for no more than 2 years. As a reference, nearly all the institutions of New Zealand requires a minimum IELTS score is 6.5, with no band less than 6.0 for post-graduate program (postgraduate). Applicants with an IELTS score with a value of 6.0, with no band less than 5.5 can come apply.
Meet the entry requirement of educational institutions in New Zealand, including English.

Target candidates from the applicants of the program are:

Eastern Indonesia, such as: West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, North Maluku, Papua and West Papua.
Individuals who are prioritized from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Energy and Mineral Resources, Marine and Fisheries, (including relevant research institutions under the agency); Environment; Tourism; Department of Education, Foreign Affairs, Police, Planning and Development and the Department of Defense (civil servants).

Time

Application limit: 11 April 2012
Candidate information will be interviewed and IELTS tests (if needed): August or September
Candidates who pass the announcement: September or October
Departure preparation and training of English: January 2013
