Darmasiswa program is giving scholarships to RI students from friendly countries to learn Indonesian language, the art of traditional music, traditional dance, crafts, tourism, culinary and certain other fields of study at higher education institutions that organizes the program.Darmasiswa program goal is to spread the language and culture of Indonesia to friendly countries. In addition, as a mutual effort to offer scholarships that have been given by friendly countries to Indonesia and is one element of cultural diplomacy.
The nature of Darmasiswa program is for non-degree programs. During the program, participants are prohibited from working, doing research and practical political activity.
I. PROGRAMS OFFERED
1. Darmasiswa RI PROGRAM - REGULAR 1 (ONE) YEAR
RI is a program providing scholarships to foreign students from friendly countries to learn Indonesian language, or the local language, the art of traditional music, traditional dance, crafts, culinary, tourism and other fields of study at a particular higher education institution in Indonesia for 1 ( one) year.
2. Darmasiswa RI PROGRAM - REGULAR 6 (SIX) MONTHS
Adalahprogram RI scholarships to students from countries asiing - friendly countries to study Indonesian language and other subject areas at certain higher education institutions in Indonesia for 6 (six) months.
3. SUMMBER COURSE PROGRAM - REGULAR 3 (THREE) MONTHS
RI is a scholarship program for foreign students from friendly countries to study certain subjects at certain institutions of higher education in Indonesia (ISI Yogyakarta, ITB, IPB, Unesa, UNAIR, UIN Jakarta, Udayana University, UGM, UI for 3 (three) months
II. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF PARTICIPANTS
1. RIGHTS OF PARTICIPANTS
a) Memoeroleh scholarships every month
b) Participants will be assisted by a higher education institution a place to learn to find rental homes / boarding place.
c) Participants will be picked up by the Committee when it arrives at the airport.
2. OBLIGATIONS OF PARTICIPANTS
a. Willing to help the universities / institutes of higher education or the school nearest remedy learning foreign languages and other academic activities.
b. Following the lecture till the finish.
c. Participants sign a statement provided by the Embassy of Indonesia abroad before leaving for Indonesia and the Ministry of Education and Culture after arriving in Indonesia, which contains
Will follow the rules that apply in institutes of higher learning;
It will not propose changes in the field of study or place of study before and after being in Indonesia;
Not committing crimes in any form;
Will not engage in or conduct political activities while studying in Indonesia or to work or earn a living during their stay in Indonesia;
Not involved in the misuse of drugs;
It will not travel out of Indonesia at the lecture or more than 1 (one) time;
Not allowed to bring family while studying in Indonesia;
Fully responsible for the loss of personal belongings before and after being in Indonesia and not the responsibility of Kemdikbud;
Willing to be repatriated to his country when violating the regulations mentioned above and the rules of stay in Indonesia.
III. SCHEDULE
Register in November 2011
The deadline for registration mid-February 2012
Selection Administration in March 2012
Academic selection in Mid April 2012
Notification of selection results by the end of the file applicants April 2012
Confirm willingness of participants at the latest by the end of May 2012
Arrival of participants to Indonesia in early August 2012
Schedule of lectures participants at the beginning of August 2012
Schedule of classes begins in accordance with the following:
Regular Program 3 (three) months starting in early June 2012 sd August 2012
Regular Programme 6 (six) months starting in early August 2012 sd January 2013
Regular Program 1 (one) year starting in early August 2012 sd July 2013
10. Special study at the University of Indonesia schedule of lectures at the end of July 2012
IV. VISA
Visa is used to follow this program is Social Cultural Visit Visa (VKSB) for 60 days which can be obtained at the Embassy / Consulate General in the country concerned. Furthermore, Visa will be converted to obtain permission to stay for a period of learning after participants arrive in Indonesia through the facilitation of the State Secretariat and the Directorate General of Immigration Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
Prospective participants are not allowed to use or Tourist Visa On-Arrival to study in Indonesia, because it may cause difficulties in arranging permission to stay in Indonesia.
V. SCHOLARSHIP RECEIVED
Participants received scholarship money amounting to Rp 2.000.000,00 (two million rupiah per month) with the details as follows:
a. Cost of Living: Rp. 1.200.000, -
b. Money Book: Rp. 200.000, -
c. Local Transport: Rp. 200.000, -
d. Money Health: Rp. 200.000, -
e. Allowance: Rp. 200.000, -
Because scholarships are given is not sufficient for everyday needs, then the participants are expected to bring additional money in the form of U.S. Dollars, so easily exchanged for dollars.
VI. QUALIFICATIONS nomination

Indonesian Art and Culture Scholarship 2012
As is known, for 9 consecutive years since 2003, Foreign Ministry of Indonesia has implemented Art and Culture Scholarship Indonesia (BSBI) as a follow-up implementation of the GOI's commitment in improving regional cooperation and promotion of culture, particularly in the creation of the Companions of Indonesia abroad. This activity has produced 384 graduates from 50 countries who became friends of Indonesia which is certainly expected to help the promotion of Indonesia in their respective countries.Related to this, the Foreign Ministry will carry out the re RI Regular Program BSBI 2012. As the implementation of previous years, BSBI in 2012 is planned to last for 14 weeks which is expected to begin on March 31 to July 13, 2012. Gift recipient / awardee is expected to arrive in Indonesia on March 31, 2012. The program is scheduled to begin with the opening of the BSBI in 2012 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs on April 2, 2012, followed by a briefing in Jakarta for a week (2 to 8 April 2012), followed by training in cultural art studios that have been determined (8 April to July 8, 2012). BSBI in 2012 will close with the activities of the year 2012 Indonesia Channel is planned to be held on Friday, July 13, 2012.
For information, since 2010, BSBI is also filled with Specificity program given to the gift recipient / awardee from several countries to understand Indonesia through a field of expertise of participants. In 2010, the program awarded to 10 Native artists / painters younger than 4 (four) countries namely the United States, Italy, France and Spain to showcase the beauty of Indonesia on the canvas. In 2011, program specialization given for 9 participants from ASEAN member countries (Singapore did not participate) who already have knowledge of textiles, where the awardee then obtain recognition of Indonesian batik production. The program is organized in kerangkat Keketuan Indonesia in ASEAN forum.
Meanwhile, plans Specialization Program 2012 will be given to 15 participants from ASEAN member countries, Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and Timor Leste. Information on the programs mentioned will be delivered in early January 2012.
The gift recipient / awardee target BSBI Regular Program 2012 is as follows:
The participants came from ASEAN member countries, South Africa, United States Austria, Azerbaijan, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Cook Islands, Fiji, Hungary, India, Britain, Italy, Japan, Germany, Kiribati, South Korea, Marshall Islands, Micronesian, Nauru , Niue, Palau, France, France (New Caledonia), Poland, Russia, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Spain, Suriname, China, Tonga, Turkey, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. This year, the Foreign Ministry will invite Serbia RI as new countries join the BSBI 2012, bringing the total gift recipient / awardee was 45 people from 44 countries. If there are countries that can not participate in this program, then open the opportunity for other countries that were invited to get more than 1 (one) scholarship.
Government of Indonesia (cq Ministry of Foreign Affairs) bear all costs for participants that includes the cost of airline tickets international transportation (pp) in economy class, full accommodations during their stay in Indonesia (the duration of the program), the cost of education in a shrine, an allowance (3 months) , health insurance (limited), the cost of extension of stay (2 times) and the cost of airport tax in Indonesia.
Directed at an understanding with Indonesia in general, a week-long briefing for the gift recipient / awardee BSBI 2012 will consist of several materials, namely:
a. Indonesian practical;
b. The introduction of ethnic and cultural diversity of Indonesia which will also be filled with such a short visit to the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and several cultural museums in Jakarta;
c. Introduction to the introduction of foreign policy and the history of Indonesia;
d. Film screenings of contemporary Indonesia; and
e. Outbound training to establish cohesion among the participants.
The next training will be conducted in a variety of art galleries are located in Bandung, Solo, Surabaya, Denpasar and Makassar (tentative). In these studios, gift recipients will be introduced to the art and culture of Indonesia, especially arts and culture of each region, local Indonesian and local languages, study excursions to places of historic and tourist attractions, as well as be involved in various arts promotion activities culture and tourism in each region.
